A hidden gem in the norh of Goa, I’m here mid October and the season has not fully started. This is my first time north Goa and certainly wont be the last!! From talking to other travellers and locals it seems that everyone knows each other as familiar faces keep returning. A quiet side of goa with a Large open stretch of beach and shallow waters, great for little one and families alike.
My stay here is at Dunes Village, there are limited restaurants but food is yummy, be sure to like fish and seafood, prawns in garlic sauce is heavenly... If you are looking to take part in Yoga there is plenty and very reputable. Asiayna set around a serene bridge over the river offers yoga teacher training as well as drop in class.
Women here
amaze me, like all around india women are very strong, they get stuck in. Often
you will see the women carry bricks on their heads and build the construction
of houses in the mid day sun…Anita a
seller the beach originally from Hampi on the girl 20 years old 8 months
pregnant and walking the breadth of the beach selling sorangs and jewellery,
they may hound you to buy and somehow there inquisitive and persistent
questioning may drive you mad, but they
are only doing their job, bartering is part of the game, however some good
cotton print sorangs to be found.
